CVE-2024-2398 | 6 Apple, Curl, Fedoraproject and 3 more | 27 Macos, Curl, Fedora and 24 more | 2025-07-30 | 8.6 High |
When an application tells libcurl it wants to allow HTTP/2 server push, and the amount of received headers for the push surpasses the maximum allowed limit (1000), libcurl aborts the server push. When aborting, libcurl inadvertently does not free all the previously allocated headers and instead leaks the memory. Further, this error condition fails silently and is therefore not easily detected by an application.
CVE-2024-8096 | 4 Curl, Debian, Haxx and 1 more | 16 Curl, Debian Linux, Curl and 13 more | 2025-07-30 | 6.5 Medium |
When curl is told to use the Certificate Status Request TLS extension, often referred to as OCSP stapling, to verify that the server certificate is valid, it might fail to detect some OCSP problems and instead wrongly consider the response as fine. If the returned status reports another error than 'revoked' (like for example 'unauthorized') it is not treated as a bad certficate.
CVE-2024-2004 | 5 Apple, Fedoraproject, Haxx and 2 more | 16 Macos, Fedora, Curl and 13 more | 2025-07-30 | 3.5 Low |
When a protocol selection parameter option disables all protocols without adding any then the default set of protocols would remain in the allowed set due to an error in the logic for removing protocols. The below command would perform a request to curl.se with a plaintext protocol which has been explicitly disabled. curl --proto -all,-http http://curl.se The flaw is only present if the set of selected protocols disables the entire set of available protocols, in itself a command with no practical use and therefore unlikely to be encountered in real situations. The curl security team has thus assessed this to be low severity bug.
CVE-2024-2379 | 4 Apple, Haxx, Netapp and 1 more | 21 Macos, Curl, Active Iq Unified Manager and 18 more | 2025-07-30 | 6.3 Medium |
libcurl skips the certificate verification for a QUIC connection under certain conditions, when built to use wolfSSL. If told to use an unknown/bad cipher or curve, the error path accidentally skips the verification and returns OK, thus ignoring any certificate problems.
CVE-2025-0167 | 3 Curl, Haxx, Netapp | 26 Curl, Curl, Bootstrap Os and 23 more | 2025-07-30 | 3.4 Low |
When asked to use a `.netrc` file for credentials **and** to follow HTTP redirects, curl could leak the password used for the first host to the followed-to host under certain circumstances. This flaw only manifests itself if the netrc file has a `default` entry that omits both login and password. A rare circumstance.
CVE-2024-11053 | 3 Haxx, Netapp, Redhat | 20 Curl, Bootstrap Os, H300s and 17 more | 2025-07-30 | 3.4 Low |
When asked to both use a `.netrc` file for credentials and to follow HTTP redirects, curl could leak the password used for the first host to the followed-to host under certain circumstances. This flaw only manifests itself if the netrc file has an entry that matches the redirect target hostname but the entry either omits just the password or omits both login and password.
CVE-2016-5195 | 7 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more | 24 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 21 more | 2025-07-30 | 7 High |
Race condition in mm/gup.c in the Linux kernel 2.x through 4.x before 4.8.3 allows local users to gain privileges by leveraging incorrect handling of a copy-on-write (COW) feature to write to a read-only memory mapping, as exploited in the wild in October 2016, aka "Dirty COW."
CVE-2020-15999 | 7 Debian, Fedoraproject, Freetype and 4 more | 10 Debian Linux, Fedora, Freetype and 7 more | 2025-07-30 | 9.6 Critical |
Heap buffer overflow in Freetype in Google Chrome prior to 86.0.4240.111 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page.
CVE-2021-3156 | 9 Beyondtrust, Debian, Fedoraproject and 6 more | 38 Privilege Management For Mac, Privilege Management For Unix\/linux, Debian Linux and 35 more | 2025-07-30 | 7.8 High |
Sudo before 1.9.5p2 contains an off-by-one error that can result in a heap-based buffer overflow, which allows privilege escalation to root via "sudoedit -s" and a command-line argument that ends with a single backslash character.
CVE-2023-4911 | 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more | 40 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 37 more | 2025-07-30 | 7.8 High |
A buffer overflow was discovered in the GNU C Library's dynamic loader ld.so while processing the GLIBC_TUNABLES environment variable. This issue could allow a local attacker to use maliciously crafted GLIBC_TUNABLES environment variables when launching binaries with SUID permission to execute code with elevated privileges.
CVE-2024-6387 | 9 Amazon, Canonical, Debian and 6 more | 24 Linux 2023, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 21 more | 2025-07-24 | 8.1 High |
A security regression (CVE-2006-5051) was discovered in OpenSSH's server (sshd). There is a race condition which can lead sshd to handle some signals in an unsafe manner. An unauthenticated, remote attacker may be able to trigger it by failing to authenticate within a set time period.
CVE-2022-0563 | 2 Kernel, Netapp | 2 Util-linux, Ontap Select Deploy Administration Utility | 2025-06-09 | 5.5 Medium |
A flaw was found in the util-linux chfn and chsh utilities when compiled with Readline support. The Readline library uses an "INPUTRC" environment variable to get a path to the library config file. When the library cannot parse the specified file, it prints an error message containing data from the file. This flaw allows an unprivileged user to read root-owned files, potentially leading to privilege escalation. This flaw affects util-linux versions prior to 2.37.4.
CVE-2021-3326 | 6 Debian, Fujitsu, Gnu and 3 more | 18 Debian Linux, M10-1, M10-1 Firmware and 15 more | 2025-06-09 | 7.5 High |
The iconv function in the GNU C Library (aka glibc or libc6) 2.32 and earlier, when processing invalid input sequences in the ISO-2022-JP-3 encoding, fails an assertion in the code path and aborts the program, potentially resulting in a denial of service.
CVE-2020-27618 | 5 Debian, Gnu, Netapp and 2 more | 25 Debian Linux, Glibc, 500f and 22 more | 2025-06-09 | 5.5 Medium |
The iconv function in the GNU C Library (aka glibc or libc6) 2.32 and earlier, when processing invalid multi-byte input sequences in IBM1364, IBM1371, IBM1388, IBM1390, and IBM1399 encodings, fails to advance the input state, which could lead to an infinite loop in applications, resulting in a denial of service, a different vulnerability from CVE-2016-10228.
CVE-2019-25013 | 6 Broadcom, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more | 12 Fabric Operating System, Debian Linux, Fedora and 9 more | 2025-06-09 | 5.9 Medium |
The iconv feature in the GNU C Library (aka glibc or libc6) through 2.32, when processing invalid multi-byte input sequences in the EUC-KR encoding, may have a buffer over-read.
CVE-2021-3998 | 2 Gnu, Netapp | 12 Glibc, H300s, H300s Firmware and 9 more | 2025-06-09 | 7.5 High |
A flaw was found in glibc. The realpath() function can mistakenly return an unexpected value, potentially leading to information leakage and disclosure of sensitive data.
CVE-2024-6119 | 3 Netapp, Openssl, Redhat | 34 500f, 500f Firmware, A250 and 31 more | 2025-06-03 | 7.5 High |
Issue summary: Applications performing certificate name checks (e.g., TLS clients checking server certificates) may attempt to read an invalid memory address resulting in abnormal termination of the application process. Impact summary: Abnormal termination of an application can a cause a denial of service. Applications performing certificate name checks (e.g., TLS clients checking server certificates) may attempt to read an invalid memory address when comparing the expected name with an `otherName` subject alternative name of an X.509 certificate. This may result in an exception that terminates the application program. Note that basic certificate chain validation (signatures, dates, ...) is not affected, the denial of service can occur only when the application also specifies an expected DNS name, Email address or IP address. TLS servers rarely solicit client certificates, and even when they do, they generally don't perform a name check against a reference identifier (expected identity), but rather extract the presented identity after checking the certificate chain. So TLS servers are generally not affected and the severity of the issue is Moderate. The FIPS modules in 3.3, 3.2, 3.1 and 3.0 are not affected by this issue.
CVE-2022-37434 | 7 Apple, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more | 24 Ipados, Iphone Os, Macos and 21 more | 2025-05-30 | 9.8 Critical |
zlib through 1.2.12 has a heap-based buffer over-read or buffer overflow in inflate in inflate.c via a large gzip header extra field. NOTE: only applications that call inflateGetHeader are affected. Some common applications bundle the affected zlib source code but may be unable to call inflateGetHeader (e.g., see the nodejs/node reference).
