| If a user clicked into a specifically crafted PDF, the PDF reader could be confused into leaking cross-origin information, when said information is served as chunked data. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 85, Thunderbird < 78.7, and Firefox ESR < 78.7. | ||||
| CVE-2021-23841 | 8 Apple, Debian, Netapp and 5 more | 27 Ipados, Iphone Os, Macos and 24 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.9 Medium |
| The OpenSSL public API function X509_issuer_and_serial_hash() attempts to create a unique hash value based on the issuer and serial number data contained within an X509 certificate. However it fails to correctly handle any errors that may occur while parsing the issuer field (which might occur if the issuer field is maliciously constructed). This may subsequently result in a NULL pointer deref and a crash leading to a potential denial of service attack. The function X509_issuer_and_serial_hash() is never directly called by OpenSSL itself so applications are only vulnerable if they use this function directly and they use it on certificates that may have been obtained from untrusted sources. OpenSSL versions 1.1.1i and below are affected by this issue. Users of these versions should upgrade to OpenSSL 1.1.1j. OpenSSL versions 1.0.2x and below are affected by this issue. However OpenSSL 1.0.2 is out of support and no longer receiving public updates. Premium support customers of OpenSSL 1.0.2 should upgrade to 1.0.2y. Other users should upgrade to 1.1.1j. Fixed in OpenSSL 1.1.1j (Affected 1.1.1-1.1.1i). Fixed in OpenSSL 1.0.2y (Affected 1.0.2-1.0.2x). | ||||
| CVE-2021-23840 | 8 Debian, Fujitsu, Mcafee and 5 more | 31 Debian Linux, M10-1, M10-1 Firmware and 28 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.5 High |
| Calls to EVP_CipherUpdate, EVP_EncryptUpdate and EVP_DecryptUpdate may overflow the output length argument in some cases where the input length is close to the maximum permissable length for an integer on the platform. In such cases the return value from the function call will be 1 (indicating success), but the output length value will be negative. This could cause applications to behave incorrectly or crash. | ||||

| All versions of package path-parse are vulnerable to Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) via splitDeviceRe, splitTailRe, and splitPathRe regular expressions. ReDoS exhibits polynomial worst-case time complexity. | ||||
| CVE-2021-23240 | 4 Fedoraproject, Netapp, Redhat and 1 more | 5 Fedora, Hci Management Node, Solidfire and 2 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.8 High |
| selinux_edit_copy_tfiles in sudoedit in Sudo before 1.9.5 allows a local unprivileged user to gain file ownership and escalate privileges by replacing a temporary file with a symlink to an arbitrary file target. This affects SELinux RBAC support in permissive mode. Machines without SELinux are not vulnerable. | ||||
| CVE-2021-23239 | 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Netapp and 2 more | 7 Debian Linux, Fedora, Cloud Backup and 4 more | 2024-11-21 | 2.5 Low |
| The sudoedit personality of Sudo before 1.9.5 may allow a local unprivileged user to perform arbitrary directory-existence tests by winning a sudo_edit.c race condition in replacing a user-controlled directory by a symlink to an arbitrary path. | ||||
| CVE-2021-23222 | 2 Postgresql, Redhat | 3 Postgresql, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Software Collections | 2024-11-21 | 5.9 Medium |
| A man-in-the-middle attacker can inject false responses to the client's first few queries, despite the use of SSL certificate verification and encryption. | ||||
| CVE-2021-23214 | 3 Fedoraproject, Postgresql, Redhat | 7 Fedora, Postgresql, Enterprise Linux and 4 more | 2024-11-21 | 8.1 High |
| When the server is configured to use trust authentication with a clientcert requirement or to use cert authentication, a man-in-the-middle attacker can inject arbitrary SQL queries when a connection is first established, despite the use of SSL certificate verification and encryption. | ||||
| CVE-2021-23192 | 2 Redhat, Samba | 4 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus, Storage and 1 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.5 High |
| A flaw was found in the way samba implemented DCE/RPC. If a client to a Samba server sent a very large DCE/RPC request, and chose to fragment it, an attacker could replace later fragments with their own data, bypassing the signature requirements. | ||||
| CVE-2021-23177 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Libarchive and 1 more | 13 Debian Linux, Fedora, Libarchive and 10 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.8 High |
| An improper link resolution flaw while extracting an archive can lead to changing the access control list (ACL) of the target of the link. An attacker may provide a malicious archive to a victim user, who would trigger this flaw when trying to extract the archive. A local attacker may use this flaw to change the ACL of a file on the system and gain more privileges. | ||||
| CVE-2021-23133 | 6 Broadcom, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more | 25 Brocade Fabric Operating System, Debian Linux, Fedora and 22 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.7 Medium |
| A race condition in Linux kernel SCTP sockets (net/sctp/socket.c) before 5.12-rc8 can lead to kernel privilege escalation from the context of a network service or an unprivileged process. If sctp_destroy_sock is called without sock_net(sk)->sctp.addr_wq_lock then an element is removed from the auto_asconf_splist list without any proper locking. This can be exploited by an attacker with network service privileges to escalate to root or from the context of an unprivileged user directly if a BPF_CGROUP_INET_SOCK_CREATE is attached which denies creation of some SCTP socket. | ||||
| CVE-2021-23017 | 6 F5, Fedoraproject, Netapp and 3 more | 19 Nginx, Fedora, Ontap Select Deploy Administration Utility and 16 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.7 High |
| A security issue in nginx resolver was identified, which might allow an attacker who is able to forge UDP packets from the DNS server to cause 1-byte memory overwrite, resulting in worker process crash or potential other impact. | ||||
| CVE-2021-22947 | 9 Apple, Debian, Fedoraproject and 6 more | 37 Macos, Debian Linux, Fedora and 34 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.9 Medium |
| When curl >= 7.20.0 and <= 7.78.0 connects to an IMAP or POP3 server to retrieve data using STARTTLS to upgrade to TLS security, the server can respond and send back multiple responses at once that curl caches. curl would then upgrade to TLS but not flush the in-queue of cached responses but instead continue using and trustingthe responses it got *before* the TLS handshake as if they were authenticated.Using this flaw, it allows a Man-In-The-Middle attacker to first inject the fake responses, then pass-through the TLS traffic from the legitimate server and trick curl into sending data back to the user thinking the attacker's injected data comes from the TLS-protected server. | ||||
| CVE-2021-22946 | 9 Apple, Debian, Fedoraproject and 6 more | 40 Macos, Debian Linux, Fedora and 37 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.5 High |
| A user can tell curl >= 7.20.0 and <= 7.78.0 to require a successful upgrade to TLS when speaking to an IMAP, POP3 or FTP server (`--ssl-reqd` on the command line or`CURLOPT_USE_SSL` set to `CURLUSESSL_CONTROL` or `CURLUSESSL_ALL` withlibcurl). This requirement could be bypassed if the server would return a properly crafted but perfectly legitimate response. This flaw would then make curl silently continue its operations **withoutTLS** contrary to the instructions and expectations, exposing possibly sensitive data in clear text over the network. | ||||
| CVE-2021-22925 | 8 Apple, Fedoraproject, Haxx and 5 more | 28 Mac Os X, Macos, Fedora and 25 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.3 Medium |
| curl supports the `-t` command line option, known as `CURLOPT_TELNETOPTIONS`in libcurl. This rarely used option is used to send variable=content pairs toTELNET servers.Due to flaw in the option parser for sending `NEW_ENV` variables, libcurlcould be made to pass on uninitialized data from a stack based buffer to theserver. Therefore potentially revealing sensitive internal information to theserver using a clear-text network protocol. This could happen because curl did not call and use sscanf() correctly whenparsing the string provided by the application. | ||||
