CVE-2024-29180 1 Redhat 10 Advanced Cluster Security, Apicurio Registry, Jboss Data Grid and 7 more 2024-11-21 7.4 High
Prior to versions 7.1.0, 6.1.2, and 5.3.4, the webpack-dev-middleware development middleware for devpack does not validate the supplied URL address sufficiently before returning the local file. It is possible to access any file on the developer's machine. The middleware can either work with the physical filesystem when reading the files or it can use a virtualized in-memory `memfs` filesystem. If `writeToDisk` configuration option is set to `true`, the physical filesystem is used. The `getFilenameFromUrl` method is used to parse URL and build the local file path. The public path prefix is stripped from the URL, and the `unsecaped` path suffix is appended to the `outputPath`. As the URL is not unescaped and normalized automatically before calling the midlleware, it is possible to use `%2e` and `%2f` sequences to perform path traversal attack. Developers using `webpack-dev-server` or `webpack-dev-middleware` are affected by the issue. When the project is started, an attacker might access any file on the developer's machine and exfiltrate the content. If the development server is listening on a public IP address (or `0.0.0.0`), an attacker on the local network can access the local files without any interaction from the victim (direct connection to the port). If the server allows access from third-party domains, an attacker can send a malicious link to the victim. When visited, the client side script can connect to the local server and exfiltrate the local files. Starting with fixed versions 7.1.0, 6.1.2, and 5.3.4, the URL is unescaped and normalized before any further processing.
CVE-2024-29041 1 Redhat 6 Apicurio Registry, Network Observ Optr, Openshift Data Foundation and 3 more 2024-11-21 6.1 Medium
Express.js minimalist web framework for node. Versions of Express.js prior to 4.19.0 and all pre-release alpha and beta versions of 5.0 are affected by an open redirect vulnerability using malformed URLs. When a user of Express performs a redirect using a user-provided URL Express performs an encode [using `encodeurl`](https://github.com/pillarjs/encodeurl) on the contents before passing it to the `location` header. This can cause malformed URLs to be evaluated in unexpected ways by common redirect allow list implementations in Express applications, leading to an Open Redirect via bypass of a properly implemented allow list. The main method impacted is `res.location()` but this is also called from within `res.redirect()`. The vulnerability is fixed in 4.19.2 and 5.0.0-beta.3.
CVE-2024-24791 2 Go Standard Library, Redhat 19 Net\/http, Amq Streams, Container Native Virtualization and 16 more 2024-11-21 7.5 High
The net/http HTTP/1.1 client mishandled the case where a server responds to a request with an "Expect: 100-continue" header with a non-informational (200 or higher) status. This mishandling could leave a client connection in an invalid state, where the next request sent on the connection will fail. An attacker sending a request to a net/http/httputil.ReverseProxy proxy can exploit this mishandling to cause a denial of service by sending "Expect: 100-continue" requests which elicit a non-informational response from the backend. Each such request leaves the proxy with an invalid connection, and causes one subsequent request using that connection to fail.
CVE-2023-5363 4 Debian, Netapp, Openssl and 1 more 16 Debian Linux, H300s, H300s Firmware and 13 more 2024-11-21 7.5 High
Issue summary: A bug has been identified in the processing of key and initialisation vector (IV) lengths. This can lead to potential truncation or overruns during the initialisation of some symmetric ciphers. Impact summary: A truncation in the IV can result in non-uniqueness, which could result in loss of confidentiality for some cipher modes. When calling EVP_EncryptInit_ex2(), EVP_DecryptInit_ex2() or EVP_CipherInit_ex2() the provided OSSL_PARAM array is processed after the key and IV have been established. Any alterations to the key length, via the "keylen" parameter or the IV length, via the "ivlen" parameter, within the OSSL_PARAM array will not take effect as intended, potentially causing truncation or overreading of these values. The following ciphers and cipher modes are impacted: RC2, RC4, RC5, CCM, GCM and OCB. For the CCM, GCM and OCB cipher modes, truncation of the IV can result in loss of confidentiality. For example, when following NIST's SP 800-38D section 8.2.1 guidance for constructing a deterministic IV for AES in GCM mode, truncation of the counter portion could lead to IV reuse. Both truncations and overruns of the key and overruns of the IV will produce incorrect results and could, in some cases, trigger a memory exception. However, these issues are not currently assessed as security critical. Changing the key and/or IV lengths is not considered to be a common operation and the vulnerable API was recently introduced. Furthermore it is likely that application developers will have spotted this problem during testing since decryption would fail unless both peers in the communication were similarly vulnerable. For these reasons we expect the probability of an application being vulnerable to this to be quite low. However if an application is vulnerable then this issue is considered very serious. For these reasons we have assessed this issue as Moderate severity overall. The OpenSSL SSL/TLS implementation is not affected by this issue. The OpenSSL 3.0 and 3.1 FIPS providers are not affected by this because the issue lies outside of the FIPS provider boundary. OpenSSL 3.1 and 3.0 are vulnerable to this issue.
CVE-2023-5077 2 Hashicorp, Redhat 3 Vault, Openshift, Openshift Data Foundation 2024-11-21 7.6 High
The Vault and Vault Enterprise ("Vault") Google Cloud secrets engine did not preserve existing Google Cloud IAM Conditions upon creating or updating rolesets. Fixed in Vault 1.13.0.
CVE-2023-51385 3 Debian, Openbsd, Redhat 5 Debian Linux, Openssh, Enterprise Linux and 2 more 2024-11-21 6.5 Medium
In ssh in OpenSSH before 9.6, OS command injection might occur if a user name or host name has shell metacharacters, and this name is referenced by an expansion token in certain situations. For example, an untrusted Git repository can have a submodule with shell metacharacters in a user name or host name.
CVE-2023-48631 2 Adobe, Redhat 4 Css-tools, Migration Toolkit Applications, Migration Toolkit Runtimes and 1 more 2024-11-21 5.3 Medium
@adobe/css-tools versions 4.3.1 and earlier are affected by an Improper Input Validation vulnerability that could result in a denial of service while attempting to parse CSS.
CVE-2023-47108 2 Opentelemetry, Redhat 6 Opentelemetry, Acm, Multicluster Engine and 3 more 2024-11-21 7.5 High
OpenTelemetry-Go Contrib is a collection of third-party packages for OpenTelemetry-Go. Prior to version 0.46.0, the grpc Unary Server Interceptor out of the box adds labels `net.peer.sock.addr` and `net.peer.sock.port` that have unbound cardinality. It leads to the server's potential memory exhaustion when many malicious requests are sent. An attacker can easily flood the peer address and port for requests. Version 0.46.0 contains a fix for this issue. As a workaround to stop being affected, a view removing the attributes can be used. The other possibility is to disable grpc metrics instrumentation by passing `otelgrpc.WithMeterProvider` option with `noop.NewMeterProvider`.
CVE-2023-44270 2 Postcss, Redhat 7 Postcss, Discovery, Openshift and 4 more 2024-11-21 5.3 Medium
An issue was discovered in PostCSS before 8.4.31. The vulnerability affects linters using PostCSS to parse external untrusted CSS. An attacker can prepare CSS in such a way that it will contains parts parsed by PostCSS as a CSS comment. After processing by PostCSS, it will be included in the PostCSS output in CSS nodes (rules, properties) despite being included in a comment.
CVE-2023-43646 2 Chaijs, Redhat 2 Get-func-name, Openshift Data Foundation 2024-11-21 8.6 High
get-func-name is a module to retrieve a function's name securely and consistently both in NodeJS and the browser. Versions prior to 2.0.1 are subject to a regular expression denial of service (redos) vulnerability which may lead to a denial of service when parsing malicious input. This vulnerability can be exploited when there is an imbalance in parentheses, which results in excessive backtracking and subsequently increases the CPU load and processing time significantly. This vulnerability can be triggered using the following input: '\t'.repeat(54773) + '\t/function/i'. This issue has been addressed in commit `f934b228b` which has been included in releases from 2.0.1. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.
CVE-2023-42465 2 Redhat, Sudo Project 4 Enterprise Linux, Openshift Data Foundation, Rhel Eus and 1 more 2024-11-21 7.0 High
Sudo before 1.9.15 might allow row hammer attacks (for authentication bypass or privilege escalation) because application logic sometimes is based on not equaling an error value (instead of equaling a success value), and because the values do not resist flips of a single bit.
CVE-2023-42282 2 Fedorindutny, Redhat 6 Ip, Migration Toolkit Virtualization, Network Observ Optr and 3 more 2024-11-21 9.8 Critical
The ip package before 1.1.9 for Node.js might allow SSRF because some IP addresses (such as 0x7f.1) are improperly categorized as globally routable via isPublic.
CVE-2023-3978 2 Golang, Redhat 8 Networking, Cryostat, Enterprise Linux and 5 more 2024-11-21 6.1 Medium
Text nodes not in the HTML namespace are incorrectly literally rendered, causing text which should be escaped to not be. This could lead to an XSS attack.
CVE-2023-3462 2 Hashicorp, Redhat 3 Vault, Openshift, Openshift Data Foundation 2024-11-21 5.3 Medium
HashiCorp's Vault and Vault Enterprise are vulnerable to user enumeration when using the LDAP auth method. An attacker may submit requests of existent and non-existent LDAP users and observe the response from Vault to check if the account is valid on the LDAP server. This vulnerability is fixed in Vault 1.14.1 and 1.13.5.
CVE-2023-3089 1 Redhat 18 Acm, Amq Streams, Container Native Virtualization and 15 more 2024-11-21 7 High
A compliance problem was found in the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. Red Hat discovered that, when FIPS mode was enabled, not all of the cryptographic modules in use were FIPS-validated.
CVE-2023-39615 2 Redhat, Xmlsoft 6 Enterprise Linux, Jboss Core Services, Openshift and 3 more 2024-11-21 6.5 Medium
Xmlsoft Libxml2 v2.11.0 was discovered to contain an out-of-bounds read via the xmlSAX2StartElement() function at /libxml2/SAX2.c. This vulnerability allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via supplying a crafted XML file. NOTE: the vendor's position is that the product does not support the legacy SAX1 interface with custom callbacks; there is a crash even without crafted input.
CVE-2023-37788 2 Goproxy Project, Redhat 6 Goproxy, Acm, Openshift and 3 more 2024-11-21 7.5 High
goproxy v1.1 was discovered to contain an issue which can lead to a Denial of service (DoS) via unspecified vectors.

CVE-2023-27043 2 Python, Redhat 4 Python, Enterprise Linux, Openshift Data Foundation and 1 more 2024-11-21 5.3 Medium
The email module of Python through 3.11.3 incorrectly parses e-mail addresses that contain a special character. The wrong portion of an RFC2822 header is identified as the value of the addr-spec. In some applications, an attacker can bypass a protection mechanism in which application access is granted only after verifying receipt of e-mail to a specific domain (e.g., only @company.example.com addresses may be used for signup). This occurs in email/_parseaddr.py in recent versions of Python.
