CVE-2018-1311 | 5 Apache, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 11 Xerces-c\+\+, Debian Linux, Fedora and 8 more | 2024-11-21 | 8.1 High |
The Apache Xerces-C 3.0.0 to 3.2.3 XML parser contains a use-after-free error triggered during the scanning of external DTDs. This flaw has not been addressed in the maintained version of the library and has no current mitigation other than to disable DTD processing. This can be accomplished via the DOM using a standard parser feature, or via SAX using the XERCES_DISABLE_DTD environment variable.
CVE-2018-18897 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Freedesktop and 1 more | 10 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Poppler and 7 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.5 Medium |
An issue was discovered in Poppler 0.71.0. There is a memory leak in GfxColorSpace::setDisplayProfile in GfxState.cc, as demonstrated by pdftocairo.
CVE-2018-18506 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Mozilla and 2 more | 12 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Firefox and 9 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.9 Medium |
When proxy auto-detection is enabled, if a web server serves a Proxy Auto-Configuration (PAC) file or if a PAC file is loaded locally, this PAC file can specify that requests to the localhost are to be sent through the proxy to another server. This behavior is disallowed by default when a proxy is manually configured, but when enabled could allow for attacks on services and tools that bind to the localhost for networked behavior if they are accessed through browsing. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 65.
CVE-2018-18311 | 8 Apple, Canonical, Debian and 5 more | 23 Mac Os X, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 20 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A |
Perl before 5.26.3 and 5.28.x before 5.28.1 has a buffer overflow via a crafted regular expression that triggers invalid write operations.
CVE-2018-16878 | 6 Canonical, Clusterlabs, Debian and 3 more | 9 Ubuntu Linux, Pacemaker, Debian Linux and 6 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.5 Medium |
A flaw was found in pacemaker up to and including version 2.0.1. An insufficient verification inflicted preference of uncontrolled processes can lead to DoS
CVE-2018-16877 | 6 Canonical, Clusterlabs, Debian and 3 more | 9 Ubuntu Linux, Pacemaker, Debian Linux and 6 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.8 High |
A flaw was found in the way pacemaker's client-server authentication was implemented in versions up to and including 2.0.0. A local attacker could use this flaw, and combine it with other IPC weaknesses, to achieve local privilege escalation.
CVE-2018-16871 | 3 Linux, Netapp, Redhat | 31 Linux Kernel, Cloud Backup, H300e and 28 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.5 High |
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's NFS implementation, all versions 3.x and all versions 4.x up to 4.20. An attacker, who is able to mount an exported NFS filesystem, is able to trigger a null pointer dereference by using an invalid NFS sequence. This can panic the machine and deny access to the NFS server. Any outstanding disk writes to the NFS server will be lost.
CVE-2018-14633 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 1 more | 11 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 8 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.0 High |
A security flaw was found in the chap_server_compute_md5() function in the ISCSI target code in the Linux kernel in a way an authentication request from an ISCSI initiator is processed. An unauthenticated remote attacker can cause a stack buffer overflow and smash up to 17 bytes of the stack. The attack requires the iSCSI target to be enabled on the victim host. Depending on how the target's code was built (i.e. depending on a compiler, compile flags and hardware architecture) an attack may lead to a system crash and thus to a denial-of-service or possibly to a non-authorized access to data exported by an iSCSI target. Due to the nature of the flaw, privilege escalation cannot be fully ruled out, although we believe it is highly unlikely. Kernel versions 4.18.x, 4.14.x and 3.10.x are believed to be vulnerable.
CVE-2018-13405 | 6 Canonical, Debian, F5 and 3 more | 34 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Big-ip Access Policy Manager and 31 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.8 High |
The inode_init_owner function in fs/inode.c in the Linux kernel through 3.16 allows local users to create files with an unintended group ownership, in a scenario where a directory is SGID to a certain group and is writable by a user who is not a member of that group. Here, the non-member can trigger creation of a plain file whose group ownership is that group. The intended behavior was that the non-member can trigger creation of a directory (but not a plain file) whose group ownership is that group. The non-member can escalate privileges by making the plain file executable and SGID.
CVE-2018-11806 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Qemu and 1 more | 12 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Qemu and 9 more | 2024-11-21 | 8.2 High |
m_cat in slirp/mbuf.c in Qemu has a heap-based buffer overflow via incoming fragmented datagrams.
CVE-2018-10393 | 3 Debian, Redhat, Xiph.org | 6 Debian Linux, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 3 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.5 High |
bark_noise_hybridmp in psy.c in Xiph.Org libvorbis 1.3.6 has a stack-based buffer over-read.
CVE-2018-10392 | 3 Debian, Redhat, Xiph.org | 6 Debian Linux, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 3 more | 2024-11-21 | 8.8 High |
mapping0_forward in mapping0.c in Xiph.Org libvorbis 1.3.6 does not validate the number of channels, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (heap-based buffer overflow or over-read) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted file.
CVE-2017-7847 | 3 Debian, Mozilla, Redhat | 8 Debian Linux, Thunderbird, Enterprise Linux and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A |
Crafted CSS in an RSS feed can leak and reveal local path strings, which may contain user name. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 52.5.2.
CVE-2017-7829 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Mozilla and 1 more | 9 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Thunderbird and 6 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A |
It is possible to spoof the sender's email address and display an arbitrary sender address to the email recipient. The real sender's address is not displayed if preceded by a null character in the display string. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 52.5.2.
CVE-2017-7824 | 3 Debian, Mozilla, Redhat | 10 Debian Linux, Firefox, Firefox Esr and 7 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A |
A buffer overflow occurs when drawing and validating elements with the ANGLE graphics library, used for WebGL content. This is due to an incorrect value being passed within the library during checks and results in a potentially exploitable crash. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 56, Firefox ESR < 52.4, and Thunderbird < 52.4.
CVE-2017-15705 | 4 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 1 more | 8 Spamassassin, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A |
A denial of service vulnerability was identified that exists in Apache SpamAssassin before 3.4.2. The vulnerability arises with certain unclosed tags in emails that cause markup to be handled incorrectly leading to scan timeouts. In Apache SpamAssassin, using HTML::Parser, we setup an object and hook into the begin and end tag event handlers In both cases, the "open" event is immediately followed by a "close" event - even if the tag *does not* close in the HTML being parsed. Because of this, we are missing the "text" event to deal with the object normally. This can cause carefully crafted emails that might take more scan time than expected leading to a Denial of Service. The issue is possibly a bug or design decision in HTML::Parser that specifically impacts the way Apache SpamAssassin uses the module with poorly formed html. The exploit has been seen in the wild but not believed to have been purposefully part of a Denial of Service attempt. We are concerned that there may be attempts to abuse the vulnerability in the future.
CVE-2017-15129 | 4 Canonical, Fedoraproject, Linux and 1 more | 22 Ubuntu Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 19 more | 2024-11-21 | 4.7 Medium |
A use-after-free vulnerability was found in network namespaces code affecting the Linux kernel before 4.14.11. The function get_net_ns_by_id() in net/core/net_namespace.c does not check for the net::count value after it has found a peer network in netns_ids idr, which could lead to double free and memory corruption. This vulnerability could allow an unprivileged local user to induce kernel memory corruption on the system, leading to a crash. Due to the nature of the flaw, privilege escalation cannot be fully ruled out, although it is thought to be unlikely.
CVE-2016-9901 | 2 Mozilla, Redhat | 8 Firefox, Firefox Esr, Enterprise Linux and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A |
HTML tags received from the Pocket server will be processed without sanitization and any JavaScript code executed will be run in the "about:pocket-saved" (unprivileged) page, giving it access to Pocket's messaging API through HTML injection. This vulnerability affects Firefox ESR < 45.6 and Firefox < 50.1.
CVE-2016-2124 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 26 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 23 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.9 Medium |
A flaw was found in the way samba implemented SMB1 authentication. An attacker could use this flaw to retrieve the plaintext password sent over the wire even if Kerberos authentication was required.
CVE-2015-5160 | 2 Libvirt, Redhat | 11 Libvirt, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 8 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A |
libvirt before 2.2 includes Ceph credentials on the qemu command line when using RADOS Block Device (aka RBD), which allows local users to obtain sensitive information via a process listing. |
