CVE-2023-0386 5 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 2 more 16 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 13 more 2025-07-30 7.8 High
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel, where unauthorized access to the execution of the setuid file with capabilities was found in the Linux kernel’s OverlayFS subsystem in how a user copies a capable file from a nosuid mount into another mount. This uid mapping bug allows a local user to escalate their privileges on the system.
CVE-2023-4911 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more 40 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 37 more 2025-07-30 7.8 High
A buffer overflow was discovered in the GNU C Library's dynamic loader ld.so while processing the GLIBC_TUNABLES environment variable. This issue could allow a local attacker to use maliciously crafted GLIBC_TUNABLES environment variables when launching binaries with SUID permission to execute code with elevated privileges.
CVE-2022-2586 3 Canonical, Linux, Redhat 5 Ubuntu Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 2 more 2025-07-30 5.3 Medium
It was discovered that a nft object or expression could reference a nft set on a different nft table, leading to a use-after-free once that table was deleted.
CVE-2025-26466 4 Canonical, Debian, Openbsd and 1 more 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Openssh and 2 more 2025-07-25 5.9 Medium
A flaw was found in the OpenSSH package. For each ping packet the SSH server receives, a pong packet is allocated in a memory buffer and stored in a queue of packages. It is only freed when the server/client key exchange has finished. A malicious client may keep sending such packages, leading to an uncontrolled increase in memory consumption on the server side. Consequently, the server may become unavailable, resulting in a denial of service attack.
CVE-2024-6387 9 Amazon, Canonical, Debian and 6 more 24 Linux 2023, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 21 more 2025-07-24 8.1 High
A security regression (CVE-2006-5051) was discovered in OpenSSH's server (sshd). There is a race condition which can lead sshd to handle some signals in an unsafe manner. An unauthenticated, remote attacker may be able to trigger it by failing to authenticate within a set time period.
CVE-2023-3567 3 Canonical, Linux, Redhat 5 Ubuntu Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 2 more 2025-07-23 7.1 High
A use-after-free flaw was found in vcs_read in drivers/tty/vt/vc_screen.c in vc_screen in the Linux Kernel. This issue may allow an attacker with local user access to cause a system crash or leak internal kernel information.
CVE-2025-32463 6 Canonical, Debian, Opensuse and 3 more 8 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Leap and 5 more 2025-07-22 9.3 Critical
Sudo before 1.9.17p1 allows local users to obtain root access because /etc/nsswitch.conf from a user-controlled directory is used with the --chroot option.
CVE-2024-6107 1 Canonical 1 Maas 2025-07-22 9.6 Critical
Due to insufficient verification, an attacker could use a malicious client to bypass authentication checks and run RPC commands in a region. This has been addressed in MAAS and updated in the corresponding snaps.
CVE-2025-5199 1 Canonical 1 Multipass 2025-07-15 7.3 High
In Canonical Multipass up to and including version 1.15.1 on macOS, incorrect default permissions allow a local attacker to escalate privileges by modifying files executed with administrative privileges by a Launch Daemon during system startup.
CVE-2019-13454 5 Canonical, Debian, Imagemagick and 2 more 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Imagemagick and 2 more 2025-07-11 6.5 Medium
ImageMagick 7.0.1-0 to 7.0.8-54 Q16 allows Division by Zero in RemoveDuplicateLayers in MagickCore/layer.c.
CVE-2018-6869 3 Canonical, Debian, Gdraheim 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Zziplib 2025-07-10 N/A
In ZZIPlib 0.13.68, there is an uncontrolled memory allocation and a crash in the __zzip_parse_root_directory function of zzip/zip.c. Remote attackers could leverage this vulnerability to cause a denial of service via a crafted zip file.
CVE-2018-7725 3 Canonical, Gdraheim, Redhat 6 Ubuntu Linux, Zziplib, Enterprise Linux and 3 more 2025-07-10 N/A
An issue was discovered in ZZIPlib 0.13.68. An invalid memory address dereference was discovered in zzip_disk_fread in mmapped.c. The vulnerability causes an application crash, which leads to denial of service.
CVE-2018-6381 2 Canonical, Gdraheim 2 Ubuntu Linux, Zziplib 2025-07-10 N/A
In ZZIPlib 0.13.67, 0.13.66, 0.13.65, 0.13.64, 0.13.63, 0.13.62, 0.13.61, 0.13.60, 0.13.59, 0.13.58, 0.13.57 and 0.13.56 there is a segmentation fault caused by invalid memory access in the zzip_disk_fread function (zzip/mmapped.c) because the size variable is not validated against the amount of file->stored data.
CVE-2018-6484 2 Canonical, Gdraheim 2 Ubuntu Linux, Zziplib 2025-07-10 N/A
In ZZIPlib 0.13.67, there is a memory alignment error and bus error in the __zzip_fetch_disk_trailer function of zzip/zip.c. Remote attackers could leverage this vulnerability to cause a denial of service via a crafted zip file.

In ZZIPlib 0.13.67, there is a bus error caused by loading of a misaligned address (when handling disk64_trailer local entries) in __zzip_fetch_disk_trailer (zzip/zip.c). Remote attackers could leverage this vulnerability to cause a denial of service via a crafted zip file.
CVE-2025-0928 1 Canonical 1 Juju 2025-07-10 8.8 High
In Juju versions prior to 3.6.8 and 2.9.52, any authenticated controller user was allowed to upload arbitrary agent binaries to any model or to the controller itself, without verifying model membership or requiring explicit permissions. This enabled the distribution of poisoned binaries to new or upgraded machines, potentially resulting in remote code execution.
CVE-2025-53513 1 Canonical 1 Juju 2025-07-10 8.8 High
The /charms endpoint on a Juju controller lacked sufficient authorization checks, allowing any user with an account on the controller to upload a charm. Uploading a malicious charm that exploits a Zip Slip vulnerability could allow an attacker to gain access to a machine running a unit through the affected charm.
CVE-2025-53512 1 Canonical 1 Juju 2025-07-10 6.5 Medium
The /log endpoint on a Juju controller lacked sufficient authorization checks, allowing unauthorized users to access debug messages that could contain sensitive information.
