CVE-2016-8681 | 1 Libdwarf Project | 1 Libdwarf | 2025-04-20 | 5.5 Medium |
The _dwarf_get_abbrev_for_code function in dwarf_util.c in libdwarf 20161001 and earlier allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read) by calling the dwarfdump command on a crafted file.
CVE-2017-11336 | 1 Exiv2 | 1 Exiv2 | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
There is a heap-based buffer over-read in the Image::printIFDStructure function in image.cpp in Exiv2 0.26. A Crafted input will lead to a remote denial of service attack.
CVE-2017-1000100 | 2 Haxx, Redhat | 2 Libcurl, Rhel Software Collections | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
When doing a TFTP transfer and curl/libcurl is given a URL that contains a very long file name (longer than about 515 bytes), the file name is truncated to fit within the buffer boundaries, but the buffer size is still wrongly updated to use the untruncated length. This too large value is then used in the sendto() call, making curl attempt to send more data than what is actually put into the buffer. The endto() function will then read beyond the end of the heap based buffer. A malicious HTTP(S) server could redirect a vulnerable libcurl-using client to a crafted TFTP URL (if the client hasn't restricted which protocols it allows redirects to) and trick it to send private memory contents to a remote server over UDP. Limit curl's redirect protocols with --proto-redir and libcurl's with CURLOPT_REDIR_PROTOCOLS.
CVE-2017-13019 | 2 Redhat, Tcpdump | 2 Enterprise Linux, Tcpdump | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
The PGM parser in tcpdump before 4.9.2 has a buffer over-read in print-pgm.c:pgm_print().
CVE-2017-11661 | 1 Mindwerks | 1 Wildmidi | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
The _WM_SetupMidiEvent function in internal_midi.c:2318 in WildMIDI 0.4.2 can cause a denial of service (invalid memory read and application crash) via a crafted mid file.
CVE-2017-13009 | 2 Redhat, Tcpdump | 2 Enterprise Linux, Tcpdump | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
The IPv6 mobility parser in tcpdump before 4.9.2 has a buffer over-read in print-mobility.c:mobility_print().
CVE-2016-10165 | 6 Canonical, Debian, Littlecms and 3 more | 23 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Little Cms Color Engine and 20 more | 2025-04-20 | 7.1 High |
The Type_MLU_Read function in cmstypes.c in Little CMS (aka lcms2) allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information or cause a denial of service via an image with a crafted ICC profile, which triggers an out-of-bounds heap read.
CVE-2017-12967 | 1 Gnu | 1 Binutils | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
The getsym function in tekhex.c in the Binary File Descriptor (BFD) library (aka libbfd), as distributed in GNU Binutils 2.29, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (stack-based buffer over-read and application crash) via a malformed tekhex binary.
CVE-2016-9811 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Gstreamer and 1 more | 10 Debian Linux, Fedora, Gstreamer and 7 more | 2025-04-20 | 4.7 Medium |
The windows_icon_typefind function in gst-plugins-base in GStreamer before 1.10.2, when G_SLICE is set to always-malloc, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read) via a crafted ico file.
CVE-2017-1000099 | 1 Haxx | 1 Libcurl | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
When asking to get a file from a file:// URL, libcurl provides a feature that outputs meta-data about the file using HTTP-like headers. The code doing this would send the wrong buffer to the user (stdout or the application's provide callback), which could lead to other private data from the heap to get inadvertently displayed. The wrong buffer was an uninitialized memory area allocated on the heap and if it turned out to not contain any zero byte, it would continue and display the data following that buffer in memory.
CVE-2017-11089 | 1 Google | 1 Android | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
In android for MSM, Firefox OS for MSM, QRD Android, with all Android releases from CAF using the Linux kernel, a buffer overread is observed in nl80211_set_station when user space application sends attribute NL80211_ATTR_LOCAL_MESH_POWER_MODE with data of size less than 4 bytes
CVE-2017-10942 | 1 Foxitsoftware | 1 Foxit Reader | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
This vulnerability allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information on vulnerable installations of Foxit Reader 8.3.0.14878. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The specific flaw exists within the parsing of PDF files. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in a read past the end of an allocated object. An attacker can leverage this in conjunction with other vulnerabilities to execute code in the context of the current process. Was ZDI-CAN-4737.
CVE-2017-11334 | 3 Debian, Qemu, Redhat | 4 Debian Linux, Qemu, Enterprise Linux and 1 more | 2025-04-20 | 4.4 Medium |
The address_space_write_continue function in exec.c in QEMU (aka Quick Emulator) allows local guest OS privileged users to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds access and guest instance crash) by leveraging use of qemu_map_ram_ptr to access guest ram block area.
CVE-2017-11722 | 1 Graphicsmagick | 1 Graphicsmagick | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
The WriteOnePNGImage function in coders/png.c in GraphicsMagick 1.3.26 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read and application crash) via a crafted file, because the program's actual control flow was inconsistent with its indentation. This resulted in a logging statement executing outside of a loop, and consequently using an invalid array index corresponding to the loop's exit condition.
CVE-2017-13020 | 3 Debian, Redhat, Tcpdump | 3 Debian Linux, Enterprise Linux, Tcpdump | 2025-04-20 | 9.8 Critical |
